About Tom Humphris M.Ost, Osteopath in Basingstoke.

I’m Tom Humphris, a qualified osteopath based in the Basingstoke area, also serving patients in the Dummer and Whitchurch. My approach to osteopathy is practical, patient centred and focused on helping you understand your body, as well as treating it. I take time to listen, assess thoroughly and explain findings using clear and straightforward language.

My mission is to help people move pain free, so they can continue to do and enjoy the things they love. I do this by finding solutions that fit with each patient so they can support themselves long term.

Treatment may involve hands on manual therapy, dry needling, movement advice and simple exercises where appropriate – all tailored to your needs and your goals.

I studied at London’s University College of Osteopathy, undertaking a Masters degree – M’Ost. I am registered with the General Osteopathic Council. Osteopathy has been a regulated healthcare profession since 1993.

Outside of work, I enjoy playing golf.  I started playing golf aged 8 and enjoyed playing matches for the Hampshire boys team. Whilst golf can be perceived as a slow game, the biomechanics of the golf swing, does place stresses on certain areas of the body.  The game can be addictive and frustrating at the same time.
